I'm Patrick Quinn and I've been working in Influencer Marketing since before it had a name, strategizing scalable campaigns for brands to keep my website running while operating as an Influencer myself. From these small (with a huge following) blog beginnings I've moved on to initiate and run Influencer Marketing divisions and campaigns for some of the world's largest (and smallest) brands for B2C, B2B and D2C markets!
In my years working in Influencer Marketing I've won several awards including two Iris Awards, a WOMA award and a Cannes Silver Lion. I've spoken on panels at several Influencer Marketing conferences and have worked in just about every industry there is.
But out of all of this, my favorite thing is launching a challenge that got big enough to have a US President join (see below!)
As an Influencer Marketing professional, my mission is to empower brands through innovative marketing strategies, focusing on connecting businesses with their target audience using effective influencer partnerships and nurturing relationships.
I've initiated Influencer Marketing divisions for several brands and managed campaigns with no budgets, to campaigns with millions to spend on Influencer activations, always keeping my mission in mind.
Every campaign begins with a detailed audit of the brand's goals, aspirations and a deep dive into past collaborations to discover what works and what can be improved upon.
My strategy is typically guided by a three step ethos. Make it simple. Make it surprising. Make it significant. I look to find paths to an audience that will clearly broadcast goals, while shining a spotlight on Influencer's creativity.
Taking key messaging and overall campaign goals, I develop loose, but clear plans for Influencers, ensuring all work is tethered together with a goal, yet interpreted in various ways.
My creative work lead me to Influencer Marketing. I've written hundreds of articles for my Life of Dad, The Huffington Post, Today.com and other publications. I even created an international hit TV show for Nickelodeon called The Spyders which ran 4 seasons and was broadcast in over 130 countries (ironically not in the US so I can't watch it!)
Good heavens I dislike running, yet despite that I've completed 5 marathons and one half marathon which might have been harder than the fulls (danged hills.) When I commit to a goal, I achieve it. I've even started writing a book called Grudgingly Running which is a non-runners guide to running marathons.
I am a former NYC teacher. Working in one of the most underserved communities in NY taught me to not only be able to adjust messaging to reach broad audiences with diverse life experiences, but also presentation skills and being able to adjust on the fly. Teaching middle school kids is like getting a Masters in Public Speaking and Improv.
Embracing cultures and understanding regional quirks is essential for all marketers. My entire life has been spent traveling thanks to adventurous parents and a dad in the airline industry (oof... when I found out how much plane tickets really cost...) I've lived in NY, Hawaii, Arizona, California and currently reside in Texas. I've been to 4 of 7 continents and hope to make a clean sweep of all someday.
Man, that word seems a bit lofty for what I do, but I try to give back as much as I can. I've run several marathons with the Alzheimer's Association, using social media strategy to raise over $45K for the org (singing on FB Live WHILE running for those who donate $100 or more. The songs my friends choose for me are often NSFW.) I've done several builds with Habitat for Humanity and recently delivered over $2,500 in goods and gift cards with my kids to local neighbors affected by the Texas floods.
